# Concepts

The SDK is small, but a few ideas run through all of it. Read these once and the reference pages will make sense at a glance.

* [Wire-faithful vs call-oriented](/pulsar-stellar-sdk/concepts/wire-faithful-vs-call-oriented.md). What a `DecodedEvent` reports, how it differs from a generated binding, and how to bridge the two on purpose.
* [Two paths, one type](/pulsar-stellar-sdk/concepts/two-paths.md). The indexer path and the RPC path, what each guarantees, and why one ends and the other does not.
* [Decoded values](/pulsar-stellar-sdk/concepts/decoded-values.md). The `DecodedValue` taxonomy, why wide integers are strings, and why an unknown value degrades instead of throwing.
* [Successful vs reverted calls](/pulsar-stellar-sdk/concepts/successful-contract-call.md). Why every event carries `inSuccessfulContractCall`, and why the SDK does not filter for you.
* [Error handling](/pulsar-stellar-sdk/concepts/error-handling.md). When the SDK returns null, when it throws, and the error hierarchy you branch on.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://emeditweb.gitbook.io/pulsar-stellar-sdk/concepts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
